North Forest Pines Carpool Procedures

In order to maintain a safe environment for all the children and adults during carpool we appreciate you following these procedures. Safety is our number one priority!

• AM carpool runs from 7:55 -8:20 AM. Please use the carpool loop and a staff member or student safety patrol will help unload your child. Please do not drop off your child along the street.

• Dismissal begins at 3:00 PM everyday except Wednesdays. Most Wednesdays dismissal begins at 2:00 PM. We have 8 early release days when dismissal will begin at 12:30 PM. These 8 ER dates are July 22, August 12, September 2, October 21, December 2, February 17, March 10, and April 21.

• Please remember to remain in your vehicle at all times.

• Please keep your vehicle in the carpool line along the curb.

• Please remember to display your carpool number on your rear view mirror and keep it displayed until your child is loaded. For security reasons, if you do not have your carpool number displayed, you will be asked to go to the front office and show picture ID in order to get your child.

• If you are taking home children other than your own, you will need to have both carpool numbers displayed.

• Students will be dismissed from their classroom and loaded into your car by a staff member or student safety patrol.

• Once your child(ren) are loaded you may pull out of the carpool line and use the inside lane to exit the carpool loop. Please use caution when passing.

Please DO NOT park along Forest Pines Drive. Raleigh Police will be ticketing cars. Please use the carpool loop.

• Please adhere to the posted school zone speed limit along Forest Pines Drive – it is 25 mph.

• If you must pick your child up early, please do so no later than 2:45 PM. After 2:45 PM you will be asked to remain in the carpool line.
