Tina
Gidley, Instructional Resource Teacher
My name is Tina Gidley. I was born and raised
in the United States Marine Corps. Military life took me
to many different schools as a youngster. As I entered adulthood,
my family settled in Daytona Beach, Florida. I attended the
University of Central Florida and graduated in 1979. Life
was good as a young school teacher in sunny Daytona Beach.
I married John Gidley in 1985. Two years later, we relocated
to Raleigh where I taught 5th grade at Fred Olds Elementary.
I was a Title I teacher at Carver
Elementary and the IRT at Wakefield Elementary. I have two children, Patricia
age 21 and J.R. age 19. Patricia attends NC State and J.R. attends Wake Tech. I enjoy traveling and
gardening. Here at North Forest Pines, I work with teachers
to deliver a quality educational
program using the North Carolina Standard of
Study. I manage staff development at our school. I also coordinate our state
and local testing program.
