Media Center
The media center is open 8:00 - 3:15.

Media Goal: Our goal for the media center is to instill in children a love of reading. It is our desire to have children of all ages exposed to different types of genre. This will enhance their knowledge and make them better readers.

North Carolina Children's Book Award Books
The North Carolina Children’s Book Awards was first started in 1992. Each year children in public and school libraries vote for the book that will become the next winner. The books that comprise the North Carolina Children’s books are selected by the North Carolina Library Association and consist of a group of picture books and junior books. The books on the list are the result of book suggestions submitted by children from North Carolina. This year’s list of picture books and junior books are listed below.

Circulation Policy and Rules

KINDERGARTEN – 2 books
1st GRADE – 2 books
2nd GRADE – 3 books
3rd GRADE – 3 books
4th GRADE – 4 books
5th GRADE – 4 books

ONLY STUDENTS RETURNING BOOKS will be allowed to check out new books. Checkout privileges will be suspended until lost/damaged books are paid for. Students also have the option of replacing lost/damaged books with a new copy of the same title.

1. Use quiet voices
2. Raise your hand if you need assistance
3. Walk at all times
4. Respect yourself and others
5. Be responsible and return books on time
